the breaking of the shell

i am an anthropologist from luxembourg, and i have lived in scotland for the last five years. since october 2006 i have been doing research in romania. in case you want to know, the theme is animal husbandry, food politics and romania's recent accession to the european union. this blog is the space for impressions, photos and emotional labours i want to share with family and friends who i miss....

about

nutshell-kit
Romania
when not busy with anthropology (i consistently deny any allegations of workaholism) i enjoy photgraphy, walks (with my dogs and some lovely human company if possible), this drink made of white chocolate i found in one of the cafés here, long conversations, runs, non-abstract theatre, playing or listening or dancing to music, living in different places, horoscopes, harbours, badminton, museums, architecture, wicked stand-up comedians. also interested in philosophy, politics, activism and alternatives. i fell in love with language when i was six, and have remained fascinated by all aspects of it (from how the letters feel, to how stories run, to technicalities such as the conditional...). littlestoryteller [att] yahoodotcom

To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly. - Henri Bergson
